About the position

As a Real Estate Specialist at Verizon, you will play a crucial role in supporting the deployment of new cell sites to meet the growing customer demand for wireless data services. Your primary responsibility will be to scout potential sites for new small cells and manage the site acquisition process, ensuring that the deployment is efficient and meets the necessary standards. This position requires a strong understanding of project management, as you will be analyzing potential site locations and creating business cases for site acquisition. You will collaborate with various external vendors, including legal, architectural, and engineering firms, to ensure that project designs align with Verizon's standards and timelines. In addition to site scouting, you will project-manage regional network capital upgrade projects, which include new network activations, cell expansions, and system reconfigurations. Your role will involve managing vendors and purchasing during the site acquisition process, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, and interfacing with stakeholders such as landlords, government employees, and community officials. You will also host routine planning and working sessions with key stakeholders to review project scopes, define issues, develop deliverables, and track action items. Maintaining database systems and reports related to cellular site projects will be part of your responsibilities, as well as working closely with Implementation, RF Engineering, and Equipment Engineering teams to resolve any construction issues and meet project requirements. Your ability to manage a heavy workload while being detail-oriented and results-driven will be essential for success in this role. You will also be responsible for reviewing vendor quotes, issuing purchase orders, and managing receipts associated with vendor POs, along with demonstrating budget tracking, cost estimation, and cost accounting for large-scale projects.
