FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Part Time
Immediate Supervisor: Warehouse Manager
Employees Supervised: None
Position Summary: Performs driving duties in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations, and supports all aspects of warehouse product care including receiving, storage, and distribution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform the timely, safe, and efficient pick-up and delivery of FBWCT products
· Provide excellent customer service to FBWCT donors, partner agencies, and clients
· Accurately and efficiently fill, stage, and load agency orders
· Work with warehouse team to maintain food safety, pest control, inventory control, and other FBWCT standards
· Comply with safety policies and programs developed for driver and warehouse operations
· Perform routine inspections, to include pre-trip and post-trip checklists, and preventive maintenance for fleet vehicles and warehouse equipment as required
· Maintain and account for all assigned FBWCT equipment such as dollies, totes, crates and devices
· Provide accurate and timely reports as required
· Maintain all current licenses, certifications, and medical cards in compliance with Feeding America network standards and applicable State/Federal laws
· Support efforts to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly food bank
· Maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicles
· Support volunteer activities as necessary and assigned
· Perform other related duties as assigned

Specific to Position
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Minimum age of 18 for driving within Texas
· Valid Class A Texas commercial drivers license with a safe driving record
· At least one year of experience driving a tractor-trailer, tanker truck, or other large commercial vehicle with GVWR exceeding 26,000 lbs
· Proficiency operating tractors of all types including those with manual transmission
· Warehouse experience and ability to operate forklift preferred (will train)
· Successful completion of food safety training course within 90 days
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements: The CDL Driver will work both indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions, including inclement driving weather. Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of eight hours. Must be able to sit and drive for a minimum of eight hours. Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. Required to work weekends on occasion, according to food bank need.
