The Associate Auto Liability Claims Adjuster will effectively resolve insurance claims with the ability to communicate compassionately and provide excellent customer service. This role will have full claim ownership and be the main point of contact for the customer until the claim is resolved in its entirety. This position will report to a Tesla Collision Center. The Associate Auto Liability Claims Adjuster will serve as a liaison between Tesla Insurance, Tesla Collision Center and the customer.
What You'll Do
Analyze, review, and interpret policies to assess coverage, liability, value and loss
Handle simple to moderate complexity claims, including single vehicle and multi vehicle losses with either clear liability or moderate liability or coverage investigations
Establish and maintain proper loss and expense reserves on all managed claims as well as determine what investigation is necessary on more complicated claims to bring a claim to an equitable conclusion for all parties involved
Document, verify and review damages as well as make timely payments to insureds, claimants and shops
Daily contact with independent and other carrier adjusters, appraisers, insureds, claimants, attorneys, vendors, agents, and other related parties
Support the Tesla Collision Center with Tesla Insurance customer complaints and service, to include repair estimate, rental, coverage, total loss and subrogation
Maintain a professional relationship with the Tesla Collision Center staff and their customers
What You'll Bring
3+ years of experience handling claims, including understanding and interpreting auto policies and 1+ year experience in appraisal/writing estimates
Knowledge of and adherence to the state laws and regulations governing the handling of auto liability claims as well as an understanding of insurance, claims, mathematics, construction, and auto physical damage
State adjusters license where domiciled or must obtain and adjusters license within 90 days of employment if not already active
Non-resident adjusters license where required in the states where we do business
Exceptional organization skills while moving from task to task in a high pace environment
Ability to problem solve for/with the customer
