Questpro is partnered with an expanding specialty market in search of a temp to hire Underwriter Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Commercial Lines Underwriter Assistant to support our clients GL, E&S, Public Entity underwriting team. This role plays a critical part in processing policies, reviewing documentation, and ensuring accurate underwriting decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Assist underwriters in evaluating and processing commercial insurance applications. Review and verify documentation for completeness and accuracy. Input and maintain policy information in the underwriting system. Communicate with agents and brokers to gather necessary information. Assist in preparing quotes, endorsements, and renewal documents. Monitor compliance with company underwriting guidelines and standards. Provide administrative support to underwriters, including scheduling and correspondence. Maintain records and ensure timely follow-ups on pending applications.
Qualifications: Previous experience in an underwriting support role or the insurance industry preferred. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledge of commercial insurance products is a plus.
