We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. As a Sr. Staff Accountant, you will report to the Sr. Accounting Manager and will assist with monthly financial close preparation and account analysis. You will be responsible for timely preparation and entry of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a strong self-starter, with excellent multi-tasking and analytical skills, but will benefit from strong and dedicated peers in a cooperative and team-oriented environment.
This position offers the flexibility to work in a hybrid capacity out of our Philadelphia-office, or to be fully remote (based in EDT/EST zone).
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
Maintain overall accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, and ensure that financial statements are in accordance with GAAP
Prepare journal entries, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and month-end closing activities for several companies on a tight deadline.
Prepare monthly analysis reporting for management and the tax team
Participate in company continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and correcting inefficiencies, control weaknesses.
Support team projects, including the ERP migration from AX 2012 to Netsuite
Assist external auditors in the performance of the year-end financial audit
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of relevant progressive accounting experience
Strong US GAAP knowledge; particularly Accrual concepts, Fixed Assets, Projects, and Prepaids
Experience with foreign entities, intercompany transactions, and/or consolidated financial reporting strongly preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Advanced Microsoft Office skills required, especially Excel
Detail-oriented with proven analytical and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work overtime on competing priorities on a tight deadline, especially during month-end book closure week(s).
Team player with ability to effectively and efficiently work cross-functionally
Growth mindset, process driven with the ambition to take on new challenges
Ability to work independently on associated projects and reporting with limited supervision
Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Experience with Netsuite a plus
SaaS and software industry experience a plus
The salary range for applicable remote US-based applicants to this position is below. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidates qualifications, prior experience as well as geographic location.
$70,000 - $87,000 base salary, plus bonus potential.
