As a Kafka dev specialist (anIT apps programmer senior role) on the Real-Time Data Streaming team, you'll have a critical role in how our systems operate on a day-to-day basis in this integration space. In this operational-oriented role, your primary focus will be on day-to-day operational tasks and project work utilizing Kafka with opportunities to interface with other teams across the enterprise to support their Kafka implementations and participate in cross technology training. Utilizing your Lean/Agile mindset, you will participate in the on-going maintenance of complex utility software, diagnostic software, system components/interfaces, software tools, system monitoring tools and system management reporting.
This is a remote position for US based work only.
Schedule: 1st shift schedule. Requires also being on-call every 3 or 4 weeks.
Must-have qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and minimum four years of related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs and applications.
In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher, the completion of a technical training program, and a minimum of four years related work experience.
In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher and a minimum of six years related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs and applications.
Preferred skills
Experience with Kafka, AWS, and Stream Processing
Proficiency in code development utilizing C#, Java, and Python
Experience with CI/CD, OpenShift, Git, and Azure DevOps (ADO)
Database management utilizing SQL Server and AWS Snowflake
Performance and system testing experience
Compensation
$109,000-$117,000/year
Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
